Women’s Health Tech Initiative Award for Startups

Innovators and digital health startups who are addressing unmet needs in women’s health are invited to pitch their projects to win prizes worth up to $15,000.  FemTech innovators from all around the world will be considered for the opportunity to pitch in front of health-tech investors on Pitch Day and win additional bonus awards. The deadline is on 19 October 2020.

HITLAB is an NYC-based digital health research and teaching lab that focuses on the diffusion of technology to improve lives worldwide. They work to design and evaluate smarter digital health solutions. The five companies that are selected to pitch Women’s Health Tech Initiative on Challenge Day – November 19, 2020 – are expected to participate in a training program, or “Virtual Bootcamp,” for 1-2 hours daily the week before the pitch.

The mentorship-driven Virtual Bootcamp creates an ecosystem for Finalists of the Women’s Health Tech Challenge to receive expert guidance and support from industry leaders and VCs. Winners will receive prizes of up to $15,000 from various partner companies. Bonus prizes include the $5,000 Rhia Ventures Award for a company with innovations in maternal health care or contraception that are addressing the needs of underserved communities (women of color, Medicaid, low-income women).  The additional $2,500 Digital Dx Ventures Award will go to Best Digital Health Diagnostic Innovation solutions.

The deadline is on 19 October 2020.
