Whitney Museum Intern Programme in New York

The Whitney Museum intern programme offers training and direct experience working in one of New York City’s most exciting museums. If you are a college student interested in learning more about how museums work or are considering a museum career, this placement is for you. Students will receive a $5,000 stipend for full participation in the summer internship.

The Whitney Museum of American Art presents the full range of 20th Century and contemporary American art, with a special focus on works by living artists.

The Whitney’s summer internship is a full-time, paid, nine-week session primarily for undergraduate students.

The programme includes training, direct work experience, professional development, and a mentorship programme that connects interns with key Whitney staff.

The 2021 internship runs from Monday 7th June through Friday 6th August 2021.

The decision by Whitney Museum regarding whether the programme will be in-person or virtual has not yet been determined.

The deadline is on Friday 29th January 2021.
