Scholarship Programs That Cover More Than Just Tuition Fees Part III

Over the last couple of weeks we have been covering scholarship programs that offer not the tuition fees alone but more. While most of these scholarships are awarded to international students and some mainly to those students coming from the developing world, in conclusion of our three part series we will not only cover such programs but also two that are targeted mainly towards the development of women.

University of Bologna, Italy

This university offers some of the most generous programs. One of these is the study grant of 12,0000 Euros to international students who opt for the what they call the first cycle, second cycle or single cycle degree programs at their university. Not just this, they have special programs for Chinese students, PhD students, researchers, refugees and refugee students from Ethiopia. Do visit their website for more information.

University of Groningen – Eric Bleumink Fund, The Netherlands

This fund has been specially created and covers tuition, travel, insurance and subsistence for those coming from a selected group of countries for the master’s program. These countries are Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kiribati, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Tanzania, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Timor-Leste, Sudan (Rep.), Congo (Dem Rep.), South Sudan, Central African Republic, Zambia, Armenia, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Congo (Rep.), Congo, El Salvador, Ghana, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Korea, Dem. NACE Foundation

This one especially relates to the promotion of study in corrosion science and engineering. They receive contributions from the several members they have.

This scholarship is particularly aimed at women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents for both graduate and post graduate programs.

Adobe Research, Women in Technology

Also aimed at women they award a one time payment of 10,000 $, a Creative Cloud subscription for one year and the possibility of doing an internship with them. Although, closed for this year as they have chosen their candidate, it may be well worth it for those interested, to keep track on their website for the future.
