Remote Marketing & Publicity Internship at Verso Books

Current university students interested in editorial work, sales and marketing are invited to apply for a remote six-month internship at one of the UK’s top publishing organizations. Interns will start the placement on 11 January 2021. The deadline is on 15 November 2020.

Internship at Verso Books, one of the largest independent, radical publishing house in the English-speaking world, publishing 100 books a year now is offering paid opportunity for you.

They have published works by Arundhati Roy, Bernie Sanders, Anabel Hernández and more.

The organization is looking for a Marketing & Publicity intern and an editorial intern to join their sales, marketing, and publicity departments.

The internship is full-time and paid.

Paid holiday and sick leave are included.

Interns will work on publicity campaigns, assist marketing activity, creatively engage with different audiences and readers, and contribute to publicity meetings.

They are looking for someone who has:

  • a genuine passion and interest in the online world
  • and has experience using social media in a personal or professional capacity.

Candidates should be able to discuss various platforms and how they differ in terms of audience and approach.

Interns are encouraged to show awareness for different approaches to copywriting depending on the audience and the platform.

Knowledge of different forms of media from broadcast to print, as well as the online media world, is required.

The deadline is on 15 November 2020.

 

Main Criteria

Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in marketing or publicity.
