Join Tamara Đurić For Intriguing News Media Webinar

On Friday 6th August, join Tamara Đurić for a webinar on the news media and how you can always be clear and accurate.

Join Youth Time International Movement and Tamara Đurić from Tanjug News Agency on Friday 6th August from 3pm on YouTube for an intriguing webinar on fake news and how to be accurate in the newsroom.

Throughout her presentation, Tamara Đurić, who has experience across the field in Serbia, will demonstrate the best practices in news gathering in media, whilst also giving insight into how news is made, the best techniques for writing and creating news pieces.

The session, which you can see on Youth Time’s YouTube channel, is not live, however by engaging with the video using the comments section, Tamara will be able to respond to your questions at the organisation’s upcoming Summer School on Media Information Literacy next month.

Serbia And Beyond

Tamara has spent most of her working life with Tanjug News Agency – the oldest agency of its kind in Serbia.

During seven years at Tanjug, she has been reporting on political events in Serbia as well as all over the world, interviewing national and international politicians.

In September 2019, she attended the training for journalists hosted by the European Association of News Agencies, which was held in Prague.

Not only will Tamara be giving you unique insight into the media landscape, but she will also be providing you with tips and tricks to spot fake news – something she has personal experience with.

This is not to be missed and can be watched on demand, so make sure to watch from 3pm on Friday 6th August.

As mentioned, Tamara will be joining Youth Time for their annual summer school event, taking place in her home capital of Belgrade in August.

A multitude of activities are set to take place for participants in Serbia, but, don’t worry, if you are not coming there will be multiple live streams for you to take part in across the four days of speeches, masterclasses, workshops and debates.

To find out how you can be a part of the event from the comfort of your own home, head to youth-time.org.
