These Jobs Would Likely Make You Happy

Are you happy with your current career? It all depends on your occupation, as some jobs are more likely to make people happier than others, according to a recent list produced by CareerBliss.com, a career community in the United States.

Which jobs can make you happy? In order to put together the list, the site analyzed more than 25,000 independent company reviews posted on CareerBliss.com to determine the happiest and unhappiest jobs.

It seems that if you are a School Principal, a Chef or a Loan Officer, then your answer to whether you are happy with your job will be yes.

The three aforementioned careers are in the top 3.

However, if you have chosen to pursue a career of a Security Guard or Professional Merchandiser agent, then you will hardly say yes to the question, as these careers are on the top on the “unhappiest list”.

The professionals evaluated their jobs with grades between 0 and 5 in key factors that affect job satisfaction, such as:

  • contact with people,
  • growth opportunities for a career,
  • satisfaction with the activities,
  • the company’s corporate culture
  • and routine of work, among others.

With a total score of 3.65, the career of a School Principal led the ranking of the “happiest list”.

According to those working in this particular field, the position is challenging and motivating, as it helps to educate children and build a better future.

Rose McIntyre, an Elementary School Principal quoted on CareerBliss.com stated that although stressful, her job is “wonderful and rewarding”, as she gets to positively influence an entire organization and be an instructional leader.

  7. Website Administrator

  4. Dispatcher
  5. Retail Clerk
  6. Research Analyst
  7. Legal Assistant

  10. Customer Service Specialist
