The Professional Internship Program is a prestigious scholarship for aspiring Baltic civic and business leaders. The program places students and recent graduates in U.S. internships in marketing, finance, engineering, architecture, journalism, human rights, and arts management, and many other fields. What it is the Freedom Professional Internship Programme About? The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) mission is to deepen the ties between and among Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the United States through programs of education and exchange centering on economic growth and democratic values.

The BAFF Professional Internship Program offers an all-inclusive scholarship for year-long programs in the U.S. Experience American culture while gaining the experience, knowledge, and skills to advance your career.

The scholarship includes personalized coaching, including career research, resume preparation, and interview skills. Interns participate in a week-long domestic enrichment trip to enhance their U.S. experience.

Later, participants will be placed with a respected U.S. organization. Interns will have their round-trip airfare, travel health insurance, J-1 visa, and orientations covered. Participants will receive an additional monthly stipend to cover accommodation and personal expenses.

Participants will be selected based on their potential to contribute to their home country and professional field, demonstrated leadership, and self-motivation, and relevant professional experience.

The deadline is to TBC due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Main Criteria

Professional Internship applicants must hold a passport from Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania.

Candidates should be either final year bachelor students or full-time graduate students.

Recent graduates should have graduated within six months of the application deadline.

Written and oral English language proficiency sufficient to excel in a U.S. professional environment is required.
