Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

Young people from around the world are invited to submit their innovative ideas and projects with a societal impact, which champion and implement one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Deadline to apply is June 30.

The Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition is a global programme to empower young entrepreneurs to create a sustainable world. YCE is also an online platform, which supports the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Main criteria:

  • Age between 15 and 35;
  • An innovative idea or a project for an enterprise which contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals in your community;
  • Ability to submit your entry in English.

Entries will be posted on the competition website and are subject to online public voting from 1 June 2016 – 31 August 2016. The 10 entries receiving the most votes in each of the two categories will be considered finalists. From among the finalists, the judges will make the final selection of three winners (Grand Prize, 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize) in each category. Entries will be evaluated based on their entrepreneurial vision, feasibility, innovation, leadership, social impact, and sustainability, among other factors. The People’s Choice Prize will be given to the entry with the largest number of votes in each of the two categories.

Also note, that young people have the opportunity to participate in an online study programme in entrepreneurship education at the Entrepreneurship Campus. There, you can graduate and receive a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Stiftung Entrepreneurship Berlin. This Certificate offers young people a knowledgeable qualification in entrepreneurship. The certificate study programme is free of charge this year.
