The Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) is a program that offers students the chance to conduct innovative research at KAUST. With research opportunities that span the breadth of the scientific and engineering fields, driven students gain unparalleled opportunities to pursue their research questions under the guidance and support of KAUST faculty mentors.
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is a leading university in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. It is dedicated to advancing innovation through science, technology and engineering via interdisciplinary research and education model.
Once a candidate meets all requirements for the internship, the application will be reviewed and they may be contacted by the faculty member for a Skype interview to discuss academic and research background. If you are selected to move forward, you will receive an invitation to schedule a Skype interview with the Office of Admissions.
The length of the program ranges anywhere between three and six months, depending on the type of research. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The internship will cover airfare, visa, accommodation, and USD 1,000 monthly stipend.
The application process is ongoing.
- Successful candidates are third and fourth year Bachelor’s students and Master’s students
- GPA 3.5/4 or 14/20 (ECTS B)
- Candidates need to demonstrate strong verbal and written English skills proven by TOEFL IBT score of 79 or 6.0 on the IELTS
- Additionally, official transcripts, a letter of recommendation, statement of purpose and CV
